No-exam life insurance
Which applicants qualify for expedited decisions, what the process looks like, and when a full medical evaluation comes back into play.
Numerous carriers now provide fast-track underwriting: for approved ages and benefit amounts, they use your application details, medical history from pharmacies, DMV records and similar sources instead of scheduling an exam. Approvals sometimes happen within hours. This site notes for each quote whether exam is required, conditional, or not needed.
What it changes
Fast underwriting is not the same as no underwriting. Answers you provide are fact-checked; a policy sold based on wrong information can be cancelled in the first twenty-four months. If the carrier's research turns up concerns, it might still request testing; you decide whether to proceed.
Who tends to qualify
Generally people under age 60 seeking amounts within the carrier's fast-track limits, with no serious past illness and no nicotine for a year or more. Carriers sometimes accept results from your doctor's recent bloodwork instead of ordering a new exam.
Need a physical? It typically takes twenty to thirty minutes with a paramedical technician visiting your Burlingame home or workplace—at no cost. Test results can actually improve your rate tier if your health is good, so the exam may work in your favor.
